CYANOGEN MOD 10 FOR GALAXY S I9000

CM 10(ANDROID 4.1.1 JELLY BEAN) TUTORIAL FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY S I9000

Cyanogen Mod 10 Tutorial Installation on Samsung Galaxy S i9000 - Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.
Root and installing custom ROMs void the warranty. But you can go back to the official version and the phone can be taken to guarantee no problem.
WARNING! Carefully read these instructions all the way! Everything is tested and works 100%? If you want everything to be ok and not have problems read EVERYTHING! Installation is at your own risk. I do not  take ANY responsibility!
Before installation charge phone to 100%!

Prerequisites:

-> Make sure that you have installed on your phone Gingerbread (Android 2.3.x). This guide is only for Android Gingerbread. If you have an older version of Android do the update with Kies (you should get up to Android 2.3.4)
-> Make a backup of important data (if you have). DO NOT use Kies for contacts! If you want to save export contacts to sd card using Contacts menu. In the future I recommend using Google Sync for contacts because they will remain forever linked Google account, whether or phone SIM cards.
-> Download to PC file  root.zip
-> Unzip root.zip

-> Download and copy to internal SD card (Warning - the internal memory of the phone - the phone appears when entering the windows to copy) the following files:
gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip

update-cm-10-XXXXXXXXXX (see what the latest version is cm10 and make sure you do not download or update-cm-7 cm-9)

After you have followed the above steps  install a kernel that contains a custom recovery (ClockWorkMod) with which we can write the new firmware.

Installing a kernel that supports custom recovery (skip this step if you have already installed CWM or another version of CyanogenMod / AOKP):

1 -> Put phone in Download Mode: Press Volume Down + Home Button (middle) + Power

2 -> In the directory where you extracted root.zip navigate to the folder Drivers and start the zadig.exe

3 -> In zadig.exe application go to Options -> List All Devices and select Samsung USB Composite Device then click on Install Driver
3.5 -> In order to make sure that everything is in order and properly installed disconnect the phone from the usb and close it. And turn it into download mode (Press Volume Down + Home Button (middle) + power)
4. -> With the phone connected to PC in download mode, run the file in the directory where you extracted flash.bat root.zip. Should see a bar showing the transfer then the phone will reboot.

Now going to install CyanogenMod 10 (again make sure you copied the 2 files - gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip and update-cm-10-xxxxxxxxx.zip - in internal memory and external sd card not ).
-->
Installing CyanogenMod 10:

1 -> Turn off the phone
2 -> turn it into Recovery Mode: Press Volume Up + Home + Power button to get into recovery mode (Warning: Do not make confusion with Download mode, press the Volume Down for that)
3 -> Select Wipe Data / Factory Reset
4 -> Select Install Zip From SD Card> Choose Zip From SD Card> select update-cm-10-XXXXXXXXXX
5 -> Select reboot and wait for the install files.
6 -> After the phone start press Power> Reboot> Recovery.
7 -> Select Install Zip From SD Card> Choose Zip From SD Card> select gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip (do not skip this step because it contains Android Market and other Google applications!)
8 -> Restart the phone.

Congratulations! You have to phone the latest version of CyanogenMod 4.1.1 Android Jelly Bean Enjoy!
