THE WORLD`S MOST ADVANCED 7`` TABLET?

There are several notable enhancements in the HD version, thought there are also a few improvements the device could use. However my first overall impression is that the Fire HD is an exceptional value in its present form at $199 for the functionality that it delivers.
The Fire HD is a significant improvement over the Fire. The overall size is bigger than the Fire - it's taller and perhaps just a tad wider. But it feels lighter! This device is sleek, nice lean curved edges, thinner, lighter, feels much better to hold and use compared to the original Fire which I found a little clunky, this one just looks smart. The back has a soft finish to it making it comfortable to hold. If using it for an extended session of book-reading or movie-watching, this will be easier to use given its curved edges and soft finish. There is a headphone jack and also volume buttons on the right, a feature that the previous Fire lacked. Nice welcome change that makes using it a little more convenient.

SCREEN & SOUND: Two of the biggest enhancements and they are both pretty darn good. The display screen is a big improvement from the original Fire. This screen is more crisp, better contrast, and has a much richer resolution, difference is quite noticeable between the two devices. It does, however, still fall short of the iPad's retina display. The sound is another major step up, quality of sound for videos and music on the Fire HD seems to have improved overall sharpness. It does't sound like the sound coming from a tiny speaker like I've seen with several tablets. Not to say that the sound from the Fire HD is like having surround sound, far from it, but it's the best I have seen from a tablet yet.
STORAGE: The 16GB and 32GB version available. If you are storing books and/or mostly streaming videos through Amazon, 16GB is plenty of storage space. Well, technically it's 16GB but the actual space available tends to be less. I think it is said to be around 13GB or so on this one. If you have a large audio or video collection that you wish to transfer here, 32GB might be a better option. If you're mostly using the device to stream content from Amazon, storage is really a non-issue. Content purchased on Amazon is tied to your account, so once you register the device, all previous purchases are readily available on this, or perhaps any other Amazon device.
BATTERY: The device is said to have 11 hours of battery life. Only a charging micro-usb cable was included with the device, much like every other Kindle released. The cable charges the device when connected to a PC/Mac or to a regular USB AC adapter, which again is not included but can be purchased separately.
