Basically this game focuses on the pigs and getting them from one point to another. This is done by building vehicles for the pigs to travel in. Bad Piggies takes some influence from Amazing Alex, Rovio's other recently released game outside of the Angry Bird franchise, where you'll be using different parts to build the vehicle your pig will be riding in. There are a huge variety of combinations that you can do so each level has multiple solutions to it.
Once your vehicle is built, you'll have to try and get your pig to the goal and, along the way, collect up to three star in each stage. However, the goal is to steal the eggs still, you are just helping them pigs get to them. Interestingly enough, Rovio is considering this a whole new franchise and not a spin-off of the Angry Birds one. Gameplay-wise, yeah it's totally different but theme-wise, it is still part of of the Angry Birs world as much as Rovio is trying to say otherwise.
